February Daring Bakers Challenge

Well, as you all know dear readers, I am still in the process of shifting countries so this is yet another month without a successful Daring Bakers Challenge. I will be back though, I promise! Just as soon as I have a kitchen again!

Please go check out all of my other Daring Bakers buddies who did successfully bake their daring hearts out this month. The challenge was french bread Julia style (I know I should have been able to do this in my sleep - SHHH! you!) and I really think you will enjoy the outcome.

I think you have a pretty good excuse...although couldn't you have let your bread rise between pages 782 and 783 of paperwork? :-) I jest.

slush - They are going smooth I head out today! I'm so excited!

julie - Yes Ma'am :)

katy - Thanks!

bumblevee - Today! It has been. It will take us a little bit to get settled but it will be wonderful once we do!

big boy - Yes you will! And I expect to learn some Italian bread secrets so stay tuned :)

jaime - Yes, it can be stressful! Thanks for the good luck and stopping in.

breadchick - sorry about missing this month I was truly looking forward to it. It's not too many times that we DB's get the 'bread card' and it was Julia at that! *sniff* I will be back in the game soon :)

Passionate Baker - Hey we're going to Italy! YEAH!!!! and you are right moving isn't easy but the end result can be :)

quellia - Thanks!

baking soda - Ok, I may have exaggerated. All of you may have guessed that my wife doesn't allow flour in the bedroom anymore so I have to wait until I wake up :)

cakespy - You know, I probably could have started the recipe, sealed it up, shipped it to my home in Italy and THEN (maybe) it would have been done rising :) Julia was never known for short or butter free recipes LOL
